Power in the Blood

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

What I always wonder when i was younger was why do we always sing and talk about the blood of Jesus? I really wanted to know deeper as to why this blood is so powerful that can cleanse us, redeem us and make us new again. We partake of the Holy Communion every few weeks in church, to remember Jesus' body that was broken and His blood that was shed for us. Every communion I remember Jesus and learnt to be thankful. But once I realize and study carefully, it is truly amazing and makes me so grateful more than words can express. And now every time I think of His blood, it touches me so deeply and I wish the same for you. Pastor Mike once taught us that when we are distracted, in fear, tormented or not at peace, we just have to close our eyes and start to imagine a paintbrush with Jesus' blood, the colour red and start to paint over whatsoever bothering us (images/thoughts/words..etc). It really works, try it!

Close your eyes now and let the black darkness of what you see change red. Tell yourself that Jesus' blood conquers all. Everything that you are facing right now, your past and what's to come, His blood can cover all.

Genesis 9:4
But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

We see that generally, blood represents the life of any living being.
What more the blood of Christ, The Son of God; Jesus.

Jesus' blood is not ordinary. It does not contain the DNA of Joseph and Mary but of God the father. If Joseph was the father of Jesus, the blood would have been sinful like you and I.
However, it is pure and sacred. That is why it can be made a sacrifice to redeem the sins of entire mankind!
It could not have been normal because Mary was a virgin and she conceived of the Holy Spirit. How can that happen except that it is of the Holy Spirit? Okay, baby Jesus in the womb might have shared blood with Mary from the placenta or whatever but His DNA structure definitely does not take on the properties of the parents because Mary and Joseph did not have any sexual contact. With no sexual contact, there is not sperm, no egg. So i dunno where the zygote came from but what I'm trying to say is that Jesus' is no ordinary man and He is the Son of God! The Father of Jesus is God so that is why Jesus' Blood is so precious and there is non other like it. It cannot be copied.

How could it be possible that this blood can even wash us of our sinful nature? Yet God loved us so that He made it possible through the death of His only son Jesus. Sent to this earth to be a man, went through all human difficulties restricted physically and mentally. Went through the same trials and temptations we face. Felt the way we felt.

And we are all entitled to claim that precious blood for no cost at all. Through this we now are able to obtain life and have it more abundantly.
