My decision between blogspot and multiply

OKIE ppl so here is my final conclusion of wat i think and feel of both sites. I like multiply for the reason that we can see different things on one page. wat im tryin to say is like i can see a place for blog, a place for daily words, photos, music, video, etc all on one page. as in comparison to blogspot all i can see is jus post after post so it is more difficult to get around on the page. What i like about blogspot is the cbox.If we can get that into multiply then it would be a really good site. Also i see that ppl are really dead on multiply. we should all get active lah i dunno how u ppl are all doin at home. I think someone should keep updating the daily inspirations on multiply. Thx puiks for the inspiration it did get me through a really tough day =) apart from that i dun really like blogspot as much as i do multiply. but i do believe we can make the multiply page more attractive and less boring. i mean the layout is good but the scheme is not really appealing. so im sure who ever did the multiply page can do something about that.

Room for improvement:

-everyone should put down their birthday in the events calender
-keep updating photos and daily inspirations
-is it possible to put up a playlist of music by hillsong, matt redman, planetshakers, etc...???? cos CD's here are super duper over priced. something like 10 to 15 pounds a disc so it is on the very high side.
-start posting ppl!!!! I want to knoe how all of you are doing!!!
-Pls take down my blog cos im not even writting in it anymore hahahha. it is soooo dead. I dun have the time to sit and write endlessly in my blog although i do wish i can.
-er yup, UK is great but studies are all i do around here =(
-Miss u all and love you all!!!!

A Blessing from the Man himself....

Hey W22 How have u all been? its been awhile now. I miss u alll so much and i miss CG and Church even more.anyway i jus wanna share a praise report.I jus got back from Barcelona yesterday mornin. I had a 5 day trip with some friends and it was amazing.we had a good time there.unfortunately for me on the last nite, i was pickpocketed. Praise God that no one got hurt. Praise God that he let me realized that I was being pickpocketed so when the guy was taking my wallet i could feel it. SO i grabbed the guy round his neck and ask for my wallet back. he threw it some distance away but in that time i did not noe that he had already taken my money and my credit card.I really thank God that it happened to me because I was very cautious of these things so i knew that i was getting pickpocketed.also I really thank God that I was the one who got pickpocketed and not any of my friends because if it was anyone else but me they would have lost everything.at least i got my wallet back with everything in it except my money adn my credit card.I am most thankful to God that no one was hurt in this time and I am also thankful that God has made me mentally strong. I was not shaken up and I was still thinking straight. Honestly to say i do not feel that i have lost anything because money is materialistic it can be replaced. We all know that God is a good God. even if we dun ask for it he is always there watching over us and protecting us. Amen

It was 2006...

What will God ask?

God won't ask what kind of car you drove,
but He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

God won't ask the square footage of your house,
but He'll ask how people you have welcomed into your home.

God won't ask about the clothes you have in your closet,
but He'll ask how many people you helped clothe.

God won't ask about your social status;
He will ask what kind of class you displayed.

God won't ask how many material possessions you had,
but He'll ask if they dictated your life.

God won't ask what your highest salary was,
but He'll ask if you have compromised your character to obtain it.

God won't ask how much overtime you worked,
but He'll ask if your overtime was for yourself or for your family.

God won't ask how many promotions you received,
but He'll ask how you promoted others.

God won't ask what your job title was,
but He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

God won't ask what you did to help yourself!
but He'll ask what you did to help others.

God won't ask what you did to protect your rights,
but He'll ask what you did to protect the rights of others.

God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived,
but He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

God won't ask about the color of your skin,
but He'll ask about the quality of your character.

God won't ask how many times your deeds matched
your words,
but He'll ask how many times they didn't.

God won't ask how many friends you had,
but He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

Chicken Soup for the Soul

I asked God to take away my bad habit.
God said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a by-product of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.
God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own!
But I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I ask God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.
God said...Ah, finally you have the idea.

THE BEST GIFT

By Laura Sherman

Four men died at the same time and were sent to Heaven. When they reached the gates, St. Peter told them that he would take them to see God. “Makesure to bring an offering,” he added.

Peter then led them to the throne of the Almighty, and one by one, the men laid down their gifts at the feet of God. “Lord,” said the first man. “I offer You pure, untainted gold.” The Lord nodded with acknowledgement, but His countenance did not change. The man was somewhat disappointed with God’s lack of reaction or gratitude, but he stepped aside and said nothing.

The second man came forward. “Lord,” he said, sure that his gift would please God. “I bring You frankincense from the east, a precious gift.” Again, God nodded, but His expression did not change. This man was also disappointed, but he didn’t say anything.

The third man came forth. “See, Lord,” he said. “I have brought You myrrh.”The Lord did the same thing as He had for the first two, and the man walked away sullenly.

Finally, the fourth man walked up cautiously. “Lord,” he said in a voice that was strong and clear despite his nervousness. “I have not brought You fine incense or gold. I haven’t brought You the best that money can buy. No,instead, Lord, I give you my soul.” The man held nothing back as he gave his soul to God.

When he looked up, he saw that God was smiling at him; a warm and loving smile.“This,” the Lord said. “is the best gift anyone ever could have given Me.”

God doesn’t care about material items. All He wants are our hearts, our souls. When we surrender ourselves to God and His Word, we are giving Him the best gift.

4 Wives?

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives.

He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much. She was very beautiful. He's always very proud of her and wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.

He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.

Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

* * * * *

One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, "Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I die, I'll be alone. How lonely I'll be!"

Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way! " replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word. The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant's heart.

The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is so good over here! I'm going to remarry when you die!" The merchant's heart sank and turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I always turned to you for help and you've always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time! " replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave." The answer came like a bolt of thunder and the merchant was devastated.

Then a voice called out : "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, "I should have taken much better care of you while I could have!"

* * * * *
Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives .......

The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll never leave with us when we die.

Our 3rd wife? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.

The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material wealth and sensual pleasure. Guess what? It is actually the only thing that would follow us wherever we go.

REFLECTION:
Well, perhaps it's a good idea to cultivate and strengthen it now rather than to wait until we're on our deathbed to lament.

Emotional Giving

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too." 2 COR 1: 3-5

We live in a world of ever-increasing emotional isolation. From fences between neighbors to separate bedrooms for husband and wives, we are experiencing a breakdown in our ability to share our lives with others.
How do we respond when someone breaks down emotionally?

Our friendships often lack depth because we insist on being superficial. Its all about fun and good times. But life includes times that are neither fun nor good! And it's in those times of disappointment, doubt, discouragement and downright ugliness - that true bonding occurs.

We've become so guarded that we don't let anyone know we're hurting. We don't want to bear the burden of the unpleasant details of our friends' trials, so we figure they don't want to hear the burden of ours either. Well, that's unfortunate, because this realm of open and transparent communication is where true friendship flourishes.

Friendships are made and kept by sharing life's joys and pains, enjoying each other's strengths while putting up with each other's imprefections, and extending love and forgiveness. Friendships are made by sharing each other's dreams and dreads, truths, consequences, pleasures and sorrows.

In our lives, there are people with whom God desires that we share the emotional strength He has given us.
God desires us to give emotionally to others with unconditional love.
