Quick Speech:

a very big thank you (on behalf of jessie also) for cheering for us during our canon in D performance.

totally unexpected, although Pastor had to calm the crowd down, if not we cant start the performance.

we had to practice in church till midnight...
our parents were so concerned n worried,
thus its church anniversary! cannot simply perform!

though it was tough, yet it was worth all our sacrifices and efforts.

it all went smooth and well, praise God - we had lots of fun!

after all, i believe God had enjoyed the music created out from the gifts He gave to us.

God deserves the highest glory, honour and praise!

Found this article quite interesting, so I thought it'll be great to share it with u guys. I find it quite useful, and it it is something we can learn from and also keep as a reminder or maybe a motivator. This article is quite old, so maybe some of u may have already read this , so here goes:

Ten Rules for Being Human

Reg & Jess performs live at CHCKL!

During the first night of CHCKL's 7th anniversary celebration, the congregation was stunned and wowed by a string performance trio. The trio included the notorious Regina, on the cello and Jessie, on the violin; both of them from the infamous W22 cell group. They played a classical piece, Canon in D written by Pachelbel and it drew a grand applause from crowd. And this was only the preview for the orchestral performance in the weekend. Sadly, before the start performance there was a small ruckus caused by some hooligans, in which the authorities from CHCKL suspect are also from the same cell group. Pastor Kevin Loo swooped in and saved the day by warning the suspects to be 'a bit more classy.' Till this very date, the unknown suspects are still at large, supporting the church and serving God's will.

Hi, its me again on your this week's announcement.
I'm on holiday now, so feel free to let me know if you need any help

So first of all,
This week's cell group is OFF. *Do not go to Regina's house on Thursday 8.30 pm.
However, there will still be weekly morning prayer in church from 6.30 am to 7.30 am on Thursday. We're going to pray every week till the day Jesus comes back. Make sure you don't miss it =)

We'll be celebrating our church's 7th Anniversary this weekend
Friday - Special Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, on top of that, church will be selling Satay for charity and each clusters are having activities to raise more fund for Emerge, they might provide services like car wash, manicure etc etc. so remember to invite your friends (especially generous friends =p just kidding).
Saturday & Sunday - Anniversary Celebration Services 1 & 2 *Dress code: Pleasant and Nice. Strictly no Slipper and T-shirt. Just wear something nice than usual service.
Try to come for all 3 days because we'll be having all 3 different services and don't forget to bring along your friends yea!

Water Baptism
If you haven't been baptized and you want to get baptized, our church's upcoming water baptism is on 19th July 2008, 7.30 am @ 3K Complex. So sign up with Kee Wee or any of your own cell leader.

Power in the Blood

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

What I always wonder when i was younger was why do we always sing and talk about the blood of Jesus? I really wanted to know deeper as to why this blood is so powerful that can cleanse us, redeem us and make us new again. We partake of the Holy Communion every few weeks in church, to remember Jesus' body that was broken and His blood that was shed for us. Every communion I remember Jesus and learnt to be thankful. But once I realize and study carefully, it is truly amazing and makes me so grateful more than words can express. And now every time I think of His blood, it touches me so deeply and I wish the same for you. Pastor Mike once taught us that when we are distracted, in fear, tormented or not at peace, we just have to close our eyes and start to imagine a paintbrush with Jesus' blood, the colour red and start to paint over whatsoever bothering us (images/thoughts/words..etc). It really works, try it!

Close your eyes now and let the black darkness of what you see change red. Tell yourself that Jesus' blood conquers all. Everything that you are facing right now, your past and what's to come, His blood can cover all.

Genesis 9:4
But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

We see that generally, blood represents the life of any living being.
What more the blood of Christ, The Son of God; Jesus.

Jesus' blood is not ordinary. It does not contain the DNA of Joseph and Mary but of God the father. If Joseph was the father of Jesus, the blood would have been sinful like you and I.
However, it is pure and sacred. That is why it can be made a sacrifice to redeem the sins of entire mankind!
It could not have been normal because Mary was a virgin and she conceived of the Holy Spirit. How can that happen except that it is of the Holy Spirit? Okay, baby Jesus in the womb might have shared blood with Mary from the placenta or whatever but His DNA structure definitely does not take on the properties of the parents because Mary and Joseph did not have any sexual contact. With no sexual contact, there is not sperm, no egg. So i dunno where the zygote came from but what I'm trying to say is that Jesus' is no ordinary man and He is the Son of God! The Father of Jesus is God so that is why Jesus' Blood is so precious and there is non other like it. It cannot be copied.

How could it be possible that this blood can even wash us of our sinful nature? Yet God loved us so that He made it possible through the death of His only son Jesus. Sent to this earth to be a man, went through all human difficulties restricted physically and mentally. Went through the same trials and temptations we face. Felt the way we felt.

And we are all entitled to claim that precious blood for no cost at all. Through this we now are able to obtain life and have it more abundantly.

*Redeem yours today while stocks last! or rather... while your life lasts!

One drop of this precious blood is enough to break every curse, every sin, every torment, Praise God!

Weekly Announcement

1. Cell Group
CG will be held in Regina's house on (Thursday) at 8.30pm.

The directions to Regina's house is as below:
From LDP, turn to Taman Megah( ss1,ss3..) from sunway it's right and from BU/Kepong it's left. Taman Bahagia LRT station will be on your left. Go 'straight' down pass the 1st traffic light..the road bears a bit to right.. don't turn left to the LRT station. Go straight and pass another 2nd traffic light. Gosh, I din realise that there's so many traffic lights. hehe After that there's a 1st cross junction, go straight. When you see another 2nd cross junction, turn left (b4 the mosque). Go straight and turn right at the T-junction. Look for road ss3/70 on the left. Turn in and my house is on the right, just after the bump.

You can contact Regina if you need further directions.
Those who need transport to Regina's house, please contact Pui Kar by Wednesday Night,8pm.

2. Sub Zone Amazing Race
Sub Zone is organizing amazing race was postponed to Sunday, 13th July 2008. It will start in the morning and end in the evening. It's a one day activity.
Registration Fee: RM15 per person. Includes transport, food and prize for the winning team.
Members are very much encouraged to bring friends and family to participate.
Do not hesitate! Come take the challenge and have fun!!!

A Letter from Banta Singh to Mr.Bill Gates

Subject: Problem with my computer

Dear Mr.Bill Gates,

We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

1. There is a button “start” but there is no “stop” button. We request you to check this.

2. One doubt is whether any “re-scooter” is available in the system? I find only “re-cycle”, but I own a scooter at my home.

3. There is “Find” button but not working properly, my wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this “Find” button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.

4. My children learnt “Microsoft Word” now and he wants to learn “Microsoft Sentence”, when you will provide that?

5. I bought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon “My Computer”, when you will provide the remaining items?

6. It is surprising windows says “My Picture”, but there is not even a single photo of mine, when you will keep my photo in that?

7. There is “Microsoft Office”, what about “Microsoft Home”? Since I’m using it at home.

8. You provide “My Network Place”, for God sake please do not provide “My Secret Place”, I do not want my wife to know about it. Thanks.

Emergency Prayer Need!

*Updated*
My dear dad has discharged from hospital on the next day(which is Thursday).
The X-ray results were okay. He is fine now and resting at home. Just he needs to watch his diet.
Thanks for everyone's prayers and God's healing.


Hey W22!! This is Important.

My dad was admitted into hospital yesterday after medical check up.
The doctor said that hes got a bit of infection in his lungs or something.
He has heart problem since around 5 years ago, so his health wasn't good since then...
I'm not quite sure about the actual condition because I haven't get to speak to my dad.
But according to my mum, he is able to discharge today IF the result from X-ray is okay.
No news till now... its around 5.30pm already.

I'm really worried and there's nothing else I can do besides praying for him.
Please pray together with me that God lays healing hands on him, so that hes able to discharge from hospital soon. And also provide *extra*extra strength and patience for my mum to take care of him (My dad is a fatty).
