Jonson's Update

Hello my lovely lovely W22!!! I miss you all sooo much and I owe you all a thousand apologies for being quite MIA. Anyway I am now coming to the end of my 4th week of my second year of uni. It has been very busy and tiring it is really impossible to understand how I have time to even do my own work hahha. My schedule this semester is terrible!!! I start 9am everyday. On monday, tuesday and thursday I finish at 5, on wednesday at 4 adn on friday at 6pm so you can only imagine that I am averaging 35 hours a week of lectures and this excludes the labs that I am to have in the coming future. *BIG SIGH* anyway that is that for my uni schedule. I have also been really busy organizing the malaysian society here as Nottingham games is only next month I have been sorting out all the sports stuff like registrations, team trials, trainings and coaching. I am currently coaching our netball, volleyball and basketball team which is quite alot. I am also training with our badminton and table tennis players as they have no one else to train with so yeah i've been so busy I barely had time to go gym. But I did have time for a quick trip down to London last weekend for something truly amazing. I and our dearly beloved ms Tung Tung went to watch DELIRIOUS? on saturday night!!! check it out....

Me And Tung Tung

Me and Helena

Helena, Chea Ming & Sara
Delirious? was a most amazing night. It was soooo spirit filled and it really turn up the heat for me. I was truly blessed to be able to attend their concert and whats more, I am seeing them again this weekend as they are coming to my Uni!!! hahaha. How great is our God that he can bless me twice like this. Anyway, I will update soon again, I have to rush off because I have a math test tomorrow. I hope you all are doing well. Take care....
With much love,
Jonson

A reminder for everyone...

To remind you how great is our God, how big He is...
Its a sermon by Louie Giglio during Chris Tomlin's Indescribable Tour
I believe this adds on to the video about earth that Jessie shared with us.
All together 5 videos are going to take up to about an hour.
So prepare the time and concentrate while watching.
Multi-tasking is not recommended (e.g. facebook-ing, MSN chatting etc.)
A lot of Maths and Science involved, and of course indescribable ones!!!
Enjoy, and be amazed!!!

Part 3

Part 4

Part 5

Sometimes we felt that we are getting dry in the walk with God, drifting away from Him and have a lot of doubts...
But remember this, when we wait upon the Lord, its a promise from Him that He will renew our strength. When we're out of breath, He will give us enough air to carry on and on and on... Even when we let go on Him, He will never let go.

I hope it spoke to you as much as to me and my friend who told me about this.

Michika ♥

Ps.Mike Connell- Father's Day, Sat (14/06)

Actually you guys can and should here the sermon yourself if you missed it due to any various reasons...you can find it on the website..this is a short summary of the points
Ps. Mike gave a lot of illustration and examples..so its best to listen..its all a long continuous story and too much good stuff to type

Victim Vs. Victor
Victim mentality- way of viewing oneself as powerless

Case Study
Jephthah (Judges 10 , 11)
- suffered tremendous injustice
- difficulty in parents relationship
- mother wanted to get rid of him
- hatred from step mom and step brothers
- thrown out of the house
- eventually ran away from home

What is our initial purpose? (view genesis and the story of Adam)
1)....
Gen 1:28
2) We are designed to win/excel
- Consider that one always feels good/satisfied in wining/achieving something
- One can use lost/defeat as stepping stone
3) We are created to choose
- Each of us have free will and the power to choose
4) We are created to take responsibilities for ourselves
- Take ownership of your choices
- Every decision has a consequence
- Challenges should be seen as opportunities

Symptoms of Having a Victim Mentality
1. Avoiding/Shifting Responsibilities
2. Blaming Others
- Failure to connect consequence to choice
- Too busy being bitter/hurt about something
3. Focus on Negativity/Problems and Complaining
4. Reactive
- Don't seek help from people
- Often angry when there is feedback
- Often think they are being attacked
5. Resentful, Bitter About People Around Them
- Running everyone down
- Angry and dissatisfied about other people doing better
6. Frustrated
- Always waiting for God/breakthrough instead of finding out how to position oneself to get a breakthrough
7. Passive
- Always hoping for something
- Never stepping out
- Full of unbelief

How we can become a victor &
What we must do
Jephthah- "one who breaks through"
- He refused to be a victim
- He resolved the grief of injustice (even though he was treated unfairly he got over it)
- He developed his giftings when no one was looking
also
- Reach to the Lord to let Him heal
- Forgive whoever
- Get busy for the course of the Lord

A prayer need at this time is for my exams. Now i'm not sure if you all knew this about me, but before I came to UK I was a very lazy person and did not enjoy studying at all hence all my tuitioning. Well since I've came to UK i've learned how to be self independent and to self study. So this exams that i'm about to take is the first time in my life that I actually self studied for and feel fairly prepared for it.Although I am one day behind in my preperations so I hope to catch up. Anyway I would like to ask for you all to help pray for me to do well. Here is my exam schedule as follows:

5th June: Electrical engineering

6th June: Thermofluids

12th June: Enjineering Mechanics

17th June: Engneering Insight

18th June: Mathematics for Mechanical engineering

Yeah as I typed that out I suddenly felt very worried hahha I should be going off to study soon. Anyway I will put up another post after my exams about my life and friends here. I think that one is long long long overdue. But you'll get to see alot of cute guys (cough cough er Puiks) and maybe some really hot girls (cough cough Gor). Sorry I dun think I can bring them back for you all but er maybe next time you can come up to UK to claim k?

So I hope you all are doing great, I'm really happy that CG is growing really fast. Aaron toold me there are now twice the number of guys in CG.hehehe. see Kee Wee, Gor, we are no longer that out numbered hehehe. Anyway, Kee Wee I know I promised you an e-mail but I think I will keep posting updates when I can and if I need something more personal then I will e-mail you =) I hope you stay well and good luck to those with exams coming up or are sitting for exams now. Good luck to Mr. Titanium, i'm sure you are going to win it. I am supporting you spiritually. Oh Good luck to Gor I hope this is not too late but for your Learders training and stuff. Good Luck Ya Wan for the modelling thing. Let me know how it goes alright? I'm missing you all!!!

Jons

Cell Leader Written Test

Hey W22!

Tomorrow 17th and 24th the next week i'll be taking cell leader written test paper in church.. so just to inform you guys and please pray for me! Especially for my preaching test.. X_x

Thats about it..hahah, took a lil space in the blog.. anyway see you guys in church :)

God's Lover
Gordon~

Dear W22, I'm back!

I've started class yesterday, Monday actually, but I missed it.

2nd year of Psychology Major is getting much harder I would say. Imagine getting handful of assignments on the second day of class. And I'm always the one who struggles to stay awake during lectures =p

So yea, this holiday is great! Not really perfect timing and all. At least I had enough rest to prepare myself for this new semester. The trip to Hello Kitty land wasn't as interesting I would say. But I got some blessings tho. Will share bout it later, just read on.

One thing I miss the most at home is my daddy's cooking, the taste of home. Even some normal steam fish can taste like heaven. My dad can cook really well! (Girls who are single, better find a husband who can cook! I'm finding one as well...pray about it! haha.)

I have an M.P.R (Major Praise Report). Its about the financial condition in my family. Previously one of my dad’s businesses was losing money I guess its because the lacked of experience in running F&B business. Therefore they were kinda stressed because they have to use the money from other businesses to cover the expenses and stuff... After praying and praying and praying, they finally found someone to take over. My parents are obviously super happy. Praise the Lord~

Ok, move on to my grandma, who has Alzheimer. She bathes like 5 times and above a day then she said that she didn’t bathe for 3 days. Something that really impressed me was, she reads the bible everyday and look forward to every week’s church service, and prayer meetings. She remembers the exact date and time for each services and prayer meeting. Its indeed a miracle for an Alzheimer patient.

Then finally, M.P.N. My uncle in Fukuoka, mum's brother, recently lost his job as a professor in the University Hospital. He was sick and hospitalized for one whole month due to unknown virus infection, its really bad. Hundreds of ulcer in the mouth and even down the throat, so he couldn't eat any solid food, even drinking water is very very torturing. He cried because of the pain.
And the politics in the workplace was really bad. The other assistant professors sort of forced him to resign while he is sick so that they could climb up to his position. Therefore he resigned and hes now jobless. Please help me and my family to pray for his speedy recover and also a better job (hes just claimed some unemployment insurance they have this thing in Japan, so yea, currently he still gets financial income but it only last for 6 months.)

Last but not least, the big blessing that I got from Hello Kitty Land.

some iPod vending machine

M.P.N (Major Prayer Need)

Dear cell group,
First and foremost, im sorry for not updating.. i've been unbelievably busy.. busy and busy.
However, I really need to be prayed for... my finals all take place on ONE DAY which is Wednesday.. (next week) and i'm having some kind of a major break down.. as i haven't begun officially studying due to the mountainload of work i had due in this 2weeks. Music is really close to impossible to remember.. way too much essay to write in Just 2hours..2 hours!!! *sigh*.. getting depressed!! Pls pray that i can have peace in my heart to study.. and to be motivated to study.. and to not be tired and to not fall asleep whilst studying because this whole month i've been extremley drained out.. (i took crazy subjects this sem)... and im constantly tired.. Please and Thank you!!!
Love y'all .. and
ps. goodluck to everybody facing FINALS next week... were allll on the same boat.. after finals.............PARTAY! k? =)
Love: HARUKA

Missin the land of food =(

Hello my dear W22!!! a huge greeting from London, England!!! i'm back safe and sound already =) so i thought I'd just let you all know.

So let me start off by saying thanks to all of you for your prayers and being there for me. You all have helped pick me up so many times that I know that God has truly blessed me with such amazing people in my life. For that, I am greatful.

I'm so sorry I couldn't see you all, namely people like Puiks, amanda, shaun, I saw Gor but I didn get a chance to talk to him so i'm missin u buddy. But I did get to meet your new member Regina and well yeah, I wish I had more time to spend in KL to catch up with you all and get to know Reg better. Ms. Michika was a realy blessing as well because she was there for me, textin me everyday to make sure i'm ok and she also came to church with me so i won't be alone. Thanks so much Michie =) Anyway, I would say that it was a good trip all in all. So Cher, where was that surprise lah? I waited up all night for you you know.hehehhe.

So my flight was pretty decent. It was tiring because altogether I Would have been traveling for about 19 or 20 hours so as you can imagine I totally KO last nite.hehhe. I was welcomed back to London with opened arms and my friends took me out for dinner which was great.Unfortunately, we ate malaysian food hahha, so I guess it wasn't too bad.

Well for those who I couldn catch up with, just to let you know what I have been doing during the week in KL. First thing I did was went for Andrew's cremation ceremony which was in his house then we went to a chinese cremation center next to the MPPJ cremation place. So that was what I came back for and I'm really glad I made it back in time.Btw, this was tuesday.

Since my parents have been aways in Japan for the week, it was just me and my sis at home, so I was up everyday to sned her to school, whereby after I dropped her off I went to my dad's office to help him do some work since he was away. So most of the time in KL, I was with my sis, workin and catchin up with friends. That's all I did after Andrew's. I got a chance to learn more about my friends and their family and I believe they are in need of some prayer.I've been praying really hard for them and I think they need W22 to help as well. Here are the few things that are at the top of the list for my prayers:

1)Andrew's parents. Pray that they will be strong and that God will help them be at ease.

2)my friend Agnes, her family is qutie close to Andrew so they are really sad about the loss of Andrew and Agnes's aunt who has Lukimea (i'm not sure how to spell) anyway, the doctors say that her aunty may pass soon so please pray for her aunt and for Agnes's family as they have been goin through a tough season whereby they are losing alot of close firends and family.

3) My good friend King. He is Andrew's best friend. In the pass 9 months, he lost his grandmother (grandma raised him), he lost his girlfriend for 7.5/8 years and now he's lost Andrew so he is going through a hard time as well.

4) My friend Elaine, whom her uncle just passed away yesterday morning (monday 14th april)

5) My bro who is going through a really tough time with his skin disease also known as eczema (i think its spelled that way).

Yeah so i think those are the most important things that needs our prayers. Of course we must also ray for the growth of cg, exams, work, assignments etc... Hey if any of you out there needs someone to pray for you please let me know, I'm more than willing =)

So anyway, within this pass week, I've had the chance to eat all my fav food, and my dear michika so nice to help me get fat with the ondeh ondeh which btw we left in the car and i totally forgot and then i remembered but we didn get to pass some to Reg, so Reg if ur readin, Mich was a total dear and bought u some ondeh-ondeh but we left it in the car since we were going for service so we are really sorry and I owe u ondeh-ondeh k? =) I'm also really glad that I got to catch up with you all and my other friends. I got to know my sister more and we talked alot. So I know more about her and whats going on in her life. I'm thankful that I got to see my parents even though it was jus for a day. I really do miss them a whole lot and I miss you all a whole lot more =")

So a big thanks to our Father in heaven, to my friends and family on earth. I love you all =)

Jonson.

Do you have one??

Hi guys, how are you doing??
This is my very first blog entry..

Well, just want to share with you guys a little about my 2nd annivesary.. WooWoo...
Yesterday, which is 9th April 2008, MS and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary of "pak toh-ship".
As I look back, its really God's blessing upon my life, and I really enjoy this healthy relationship.

Well, we went to Ampang (Korean village) to find the best Korean food.
This is what I heard from most of the people.. "eat korean food must go ampang!"
Therefore, we went.
I made phone calls and asked around for the -best Korean restaurant-, then my friend, Alex Loo (who stays in Ampang) told me there this very very nice one opposite the guard house. And we must go give it a try..

So I happily drove MS there, with super high expectancy..
Teng teng teng teng~ We entered the restaurant..
"Aniyo hasaiyo...." We were greeted by all these voices..

To my surprise, there was no other customer, besides all the waiters and waitresses..
Immediately I looked at my watch, it says 7:05pm, "why isnt' there anyone else??"
"Hmm... Maybe Korean eat late dinner... Maybe is very expensive, so not a lot of people can afford"
Many thoughts ran through my mind...
We places our order, and the food was fast, because all the waiters and waitresses served only us...

To cut the story short, the variety of side dishes are very little, the meat was hard.
Sigh.. we were totally not satisfied..
"AlexLoo, you better not stay in Ampang anymore lar..."

Both me and MS still think that the one in Taipan, above OldTown Kopitiam, that's the best so far. Go there if you wanna have nice Korean food!!!

SO, why is my title "Do you have one??"
Hehe.. because I received a Ray-Ban sun-wear from MS!!
Is the first sun-wear in my life.. I really like it.. Looks cool.. Thx bei...
Maybe, one day Cell group can go vacation at the beach, then we can all wear our sunglasses.. Hehe..
Its gonna be nice :)

Yeah, I gave her a scrapbook (which looks like magazine), and it cost me of few sleepless nights.. a Roxy jacket and a pair of shoes :)

Ok lah...I think that's all about it...
Will keep on learning how to blog..

Always,
-kw-

Dirty and Left Out

Hello, I swear I won't be too long
Hello, I promise I'll be real strong
Wait up, I just wanna tell you
Hold up, why are you still here?
I've been dirtier than you wanna know
I've left earlier than you'll ever know
Why do, you wanna be all listenin' to me
Why do, you spread your arms and tell me I'm free
Why do, you wanna be in my life
In my life
I've been dirtier than you wanna know
I've left earlier than you'll ever know
Jesus, Jesus,
There's something about your name
Master, saviour, Jesus
I've been dirtier than you wanna know
I've left earlier than you'll ever know
Jesus Jesus

Hey guys i love this song..and would like to share it with the rest of u !
i feel its very meaningful.. its like a prayer to God.. and i suppose i often feel like this.. as the lyrics say.. why do u wanna be in my life.. i guess there's something about His name.. =)

Update about my friend Andrew

Hey W22, i'm very sad to say that Andrew has passed away today (sunday, 6th april). I'm comin back to KL and im reachin tuesday mornin.Thank you for your prayers.

Laos

Hey guys!! This is a LAOS post .. since i did a praise report about it..
SABAIDEE (hello in Laotian)... Laos is indeed a beautiful place, rich in its culture and the people are friendly and amazingly lovable.
I wanna thank God first and foremost for letting me go for this trip and to open myself to new experiences. I'm sure Laos is not the type of country where you would randomly go with your friends or family right.. so what an awesome chance!!
I'm happy as I was able to bless the kid's there and to just simply spend time with them. The littlest things put a smile on their face - this is what i feel our society today has lost.. we depend on expensive materialistic things.. but then again we can't compare.. because they haven't seen what we've seen.. they haven't experienced what we have.. so they are just happy... which is good.. we need to appreciate things more i suppose.. what do you reckon??
yess.. so that was just some random short rant.. now ill just post some pics..

hehehe Khob Chai (thank you in Laotian)

Lovelove Haruka!!!

Prayer Need!!! URGENT!!!!

Hey W22 I need your help to pray for my friend back in KL. He is in the hospital and unconcious. This is what happened.

He was in the gym doing chin ups when he had a seizure and he let go and fell. He hit the back of his head on something. He is now in the hospital unconcious and today I was told that he has lost half his brain cells. When he wakes up, he is most likely paralyze from the nexck down onwards.

Please help me pray that he wakes up and that God will do a miracle through him and heal him. He is a very good friend of mine and I ask of you all to help me. His name is Andrew and he is in the Damansara specialist hospital. Pray for him, thx.

My decision between blogspot and multiply

OKIE ppl so here is my final conclusion of wat i think and feel of both sites. I like multiply for the reason that we can see different things on one page. wat im tryin to say is like i can see a place for blog, a place for daily words, photos, music, video, etc all on one page. as in comparison to blogspot all i can see is jus post after post so it is more difficult to get around on the page. What i like about blogspot is the cbox.If we can get that into multiply then it would be a really good site. Also i see that ppl are really dead on multiply. we should all get active lah i dunno how u ppl are all doin at home. I think someone should keep updating the daily inspirations on multiply. Thx puiks for the inspiration it did get me through a really tough day =) apart from that i dun really like blogspot as much as i do multiply. but i do believe we can make the multiply page more attractive and less boring. i mean the layout is good but the scheme is not really appealing. so im sure who ever did the multiply page can do something about that.

Room for improvement:

-everyone should put down their birthday in the events calender
-keep updating photos and daily inspirations
-is it possible to put up a playlist of music by hillsong, matt redman, planetshakers, etc...???? cos CD's here are super duper over priced. something like 10 to 15 pounds a disc so it is on the very high side.
-start posting ppl!!!! I want to knoe how all of you are doing!!!
-Pls take down my blog cos im not even writting in it anymore hahahha. it is soooo dead. I dun have the time to sit and write endlessly in my blog although i do wish i can.
-er yup, UK is great but studies are all i do around here =(
-Miss u all and love you all!!!!
